Small Group Ministry
Small Groups offer members a chance to cultivate their leadership skills. They can lead discussions, arrange events, and act as mentors to other. Find opportunities to study and fellowship to go deeper in your relationship with God and others!

Adult Sunday School
Come and join the Sunday Adult Class as they discuss various topics. One group meets in-person at 9 am in Room 25, and the other meets virtually at 7 pm from September through May.
Tuesday Morning Bible Study
Join friends old and new in an informal, drop-in style Bible class every Tuesday at 10 am in hybrid fashion (in-person and virtual simultaneously). Lively discussion, a supportive group, and a safe place to ask questions and share ideas make this a great place to explore your faith, whether you are new to Bible study or a seasoned student. All are welcome to come and join at any time. No weekly pre-reading is required.
Thursday Morning Prayer Group
You are invited to join in our 30-minute morning prayer group on Thursday at 10 am. Gather through zoom, and be comforted by the scriptures and lift up prayers together. This is a year-around meeting group.
Men’s Discipleship Group
The men of BUMC meet virtually on alternating Saturday at 9 am to study the scripture or a book and pray together from September through May.
New Member’s Class
If you are interested in becoming a member at Bridgewater UMC, join us at one of our New Members classes! Class members will explore the ministry and vision of Bridgewater UMC, the history and theology of The United Methodist Church, and how they can live out their membership in the life of the church. The date of the class will be announced in advance.
Prayer Shawl Group
Our prayer shawl group has given many shawls to people and families of BUMC and donates shawls to neighbors in the Bridgewater area. We accept individual requests for shawls through the church office. There is no cost for a shawl; it is freely given in love, but we accept donations to purchase yarn. If you like to pray and knit or crochet, or would like to learn to knit or crochet, please join us. Most of our knitting and crocheting is done at home. We offer a weekly class during Lenten season. Several classes are available and the date will be announced in advance.
Advent Study
We offer a weekly class during Lenten season. Several classes are available and the date will be announced in advance.
Topical Study
We offer several topical classes 3-4 times a year. The topics are the specific books of the Old and New Testaments, Spiritual Formation, Discipleship, and Leadership Training.
