Thursday Morning Prayer Group
Meet via Zoom
Every Thursday at 10 a.m.
Leader: Rev. Jennifer Cho
During the pandemic, this weekly zoom prayer group started when several people got together to pray. This group still meets every Thursday at 10 a.m. for about 30 minutes to pray over prayer requests, church needs, the community, and the country, whatever the Holy Spirit leads us to pray. It is simply a group of faithful believers who meet regularly to pray and praise the Lord's name where everyone has a chance to participate. All are welcome.
Sunday School Class
9:00 – 9:50 a.m.
“Invitation to Genesis”
In-person class. No reading required.
Starting Date: Sept. 17 @ Room 25
Leader: Andy Donnell
This study takes groups into the rich tapestry of Genesis, exploring the interaction between God and very human people - pride, family relationships, conflict, and journey all showcase the best-known stories of Creation, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Rebekah, and Joseph.
The video reflects the drama of the Genesis stories, first with selected text dramatized by an actor, and then study writer Peter Enns interviews a scholar to help unpack the meaning and the mystery in the stories. Participants for this Invitation to Genesis do not have to have an in-depth knowledge of the Bible to enjoy and benefit from participation. Reading just two chapters of Genesis a week, they will discover the life-altering stories inviting them to follow Christ as faithful disciples.
Sunday School Class
7:30 p.m.
“God Never Gives Upon You”
Meet via Zoom
Leader: Kathy & Don Schulz
Starting Date: Sept. 24 @ Room 25
God Never Gives Up on You is for the strugglers among us and the fumbler within us. For those of us who are part saint, part scoundrel; we mean well, but we don’t always do well. We have breakthroughs and breakdowns, often in the same hour. We need no reminder of our failures. But where can we find examples of God’s steadfast grace?
No one is more suited to help assure you of God’s grace than Jacob. He was less a prodigy and more a prodigal. Strong on savvy. Weak on conscience. Jacob took advantage of his famished brother and pulled the wool over the eyes of his dying father, yet God never turned his back on Jacob. And he won’t turn his back on you. If you are ready to start counting on God’s grace and believe he never gives up on you, this book is for you.
